Why we like Amazon

Amazon has been one of our favorite online stores for as long as we’ve been buying online. Originally we just bought books, but today before we buy anything, we check Amazon first. Odds are, they’ll have the product we’re looking for, if not from them, then from a third party.

Why have they been our favorite store?

1. Product selection – They have almost anything you’d want, books, electronics, appliances, clothing, furniture, garden tools, you name it.
2. Product Prices – my experience has been that 4 out of 5 times Amazon will have the lowest price on what you’re looking for. And if it’s not the lowest, it will be pretty darn close.
3. Shipping – Amazon has free shipping with in the U.S. on many qualifiying products. They will sell to and ship to customers all over the word. If you’re a member of Amazon Prime, you can get products shipped to you via second day air for free, with some restrictcons.
4. Product Information – Not only does Amazon provide images and particulars about each product, they also let other purchasers review the products and they publish those reviews as well. They publish both positive and negative reviews and present a clear, at-a-glance star rating system so you can quickly tell what others think of a product.
5. Attitude – Amazon has always seemed genuinely interested in providing an outstanding customer experience. And on the rare occasion when we’ve had issuess with a product or shipping, a quick email will set it right. They aren’t afraid of competition, and even go so far as to provide advertising for competitors on their site on the same pages that you may be using to find products — all to insure that your shopping experience is the best that it can be.

There are plenty of excellent places to get products on the web, some advertised on this site. But as far as we’re concerned, Amazon.com is one of the best.
